Our gray primary tufting cloth is a dense, 300gsm tufting fabric for cut and loop pile rug making. This is the same cloth we use daily at Scattered Kind’s NYC studio, from first-time workshop projects to custom commissions.

Primary tufting cloth and secondary backing
Primary tufting cloth is the fabric you stretch onto your frame and tuft yarn into. Secondary rug backing is a separate layer attached to the back of your tufted piece during finishing. This product is primary cloth for tufting, not secondary backing fabric.
